PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in a system providing software services by using a plurality of information processing devices connected to a network, when failure monitoring including a non-response of software and the information processing devices for continuing providing the software services is performed in a lump by a heartbeat method or the like, there is an increase of a monitoring load in a system when the monitoring is performed in a short period, or an increase of a service stop time when the monitoring is performed in a long period. SOLUTION: Information processing devices share failure information when failure occurs by using an information sharing device while ranges of software failure monitoring including a non-response necessary for performing short-period heartbeat monitoring are limited within the respective information processing devices, and also a failure monitoring device copes with the failure by using the failure information provided by the information sharing device. When an arbitrary information processing device detects failure in the failure monitoring device by the information sharing device, the information processing device autonomously becomes the failure monitoring device and continues coping with the system failure.
