PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition formable of a coating film which is excellent in scratch resistance and is excellent also in acid resistance, stain resistance and coating film appearance. SOLUTION: The coating composition includes: a specified polyol compound (A); a polyisocyanate compound (B); and resin-coated silica particle (C) obtained by mixing a specified hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (C1) and silica particle (C2) and heating the mixture at 80°C or more, wherein the amount of the silica particle (C2) constituting the resin-coated silica particle (C) is adjusted to fall into the range of 10 to 60 mass%, with reference to the total solid content of the polyol compound (A), the polyisocyanate compound (B) and the resin-coated silica particle (C).
