PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light quantity adjusting device including a motor mechanism part capable of reducing dimensions of a radial direction and an axial direction and increasing a motor output. SOLUTION: In a light quantity adjusting device, a stator 1 of a motor mechanism part 11 is formed integrally with a pressing member J fixed to a cam member I while holding diaphragm blades A to G and a rotating member H for driving the diaphragm blades A to G by the light quantity adjusting device. The stator 1 includes: a support part for rotatably supporting a rotary shaft of a rotor; a first magnetic pole part 1b; and a second magnetic pole part 1c. The first magnetic pole part 1b and the second magnetic pole part 1c extends toward an outer peripheral part of the rotor in a direction orthogonal to a rotation axis of the rotor, inner peripheral parts of coils 3 and 4 are inserted from the extension ends along extension directions, and the extension ends are arranged oppositely to an outer peripheral part of the rotor. The first magnetic pole part 1b and the second magnetic pole part 1c are arranged at an angle in a peripheral direction of the rotor so that a line extending in an extension direction of the first magnetic pole part 1b and a line extending in an extension direction of the second magnetic pole part 1c cross each other.
