The transmitting apparatus according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: a packet generator which generates packet containing color space information on a plurality of color channels constituting image signals; and a transmitter which transmits the packet to a receiving apparatus according to HDMI standard, wherein the color space information includes a number of extended bits so as to additionally express deep color information.
