<p>A platform for protecting a surface against a spillage of cryogenic hydrocarbon liquid comprises a generally planar top surface 1 having a plurality of drain holes 2 extending therethrough and a plurality of drain canals 3 located directly beneath said top surface and being aligned with respective sets of drain holes. The drain holes and the drain canals are arranged to drain the spillage away from the platform, and a plurality of supports 4 are provided to support the platform above the surface. The top surface of the platform may be made of aluminium and the diameter of the drain holes may be between 10mm and 30mm.</p> |
