PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor and a heat pump can restrain intrusion into a bearing housing of a process fluid of a gaseous phase being a compression object. SOLUTION: The centrifugal compressor includes a noncontact type seal 30 in the bearing housing 29 for storing an impeller rotary shaft 21, and compresses the process fluid of the gaseous phase. The opposite side of an impeller 11 of the noncontact type seal 30 includes a cooling collecting mechanism 33 for collecting the liquefied process fluid by cooling and liquefying the process fluid of the gaseous phase leaked in the bearing housing 29 by passing through the noncontact type seal 30 from the impeller 11 side.
