A display device comprises: a display panel which generates an image in a frame duration; and a touch panel which is equipped with input coils, output coils, input electrodes and output electrodes. First scanning signals are applied to the input coils which are arranged in a second area adjacent to a first area, and second scanning signals are applied to input electrodes which are arranged in the first area, when pixels arranged in the first area of the display panel are activated. From at least one of first detecting signals generated in the second area and second detecting signals generated in the first area, information on a coordinate at an input point is calculated. |
