The present invention relates to a method for producing cationized dextrin. The method includes a step of performing a cationization reaction by adding a cationization agent to dextrin. The dextrin is a dextrin solution obtained by adding dextrin to water. The dextrin solution includes 70-800 parts by weight of water with respect to 100 parts by weight of the dry dextrin. In addition, 110-280 parts by weight of the cationization agent are added with respect to 100 parts by weight of the dry dextrin. According to the method of the present invention, the cationized dextrin having a high degree of substitution and strong cohesion can be produced.
