<p>Disclosed are a light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of increasing light extraction efficiency by controlling a laser mark to be distributed on a substrate by adopting an inner laser backward scribing process. The light emitting device according to the present invention includes: the substrate, a light emitting structure which includes an n-type nitride layer, an active layer, and a p-type nitride layer which are successively formed on the substrate and has a reverse taper section on an edge thereof, a p-electrode pad which is formed on the p-type nitride layer of the light emitting structure, and an n-electrode pad which is formed on the exposure area of the n-type nitride layer of the light emitting structure. The substrate includes a debris free area and a surface reformation area.</p> |
