<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact lens whose deformation and deterioration are reduced as compared to conventional methods and which has a hydrophilic coat of high durability on the surface thereof, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a contact lens by use of plastic-made contact lens molding molds includes the steps of: applying and drying a viscous solution containing a hydrophilic polymer on the molding molds to form an outer layer made up of the hydrophilic polymer; applying a solution containing a hydrophilic monomer on the molding molds with the outer layer formed thereon to form the hydrophilic monomer-applied layer as an inner layer; and fitting the molding molds and also polymerizing the hydrophilic monomer and a contact lens base material monomer after injecting a solution containing the contact lens base material monomer into the molding molds with the inner layer formed thereon to obtain a contact lens molded article in which two layers of the outer and the inner layer are formed on the contact lens base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
