PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device that reduces an adverse effect of engagement between one pinion gear and rack bar on engagement between the other pinion gear and rack bar. SOLUTION: In the dual pinion type electric power steering device, a protrusion part 33 is provided on the opposite side in the peripheral direction of a second rack tooth R2 on the other axial end side of a rack bar 30 as an assist side, a pair of recesses 34 and 34 are formed on both sides in the peripheral direction of the protrusion part 33, and the interior angleθof supported surfaces 34a and 34a supporting the rack bar 30 in the recessed parts 34 and 34 is set to be larger than 90°and smaller than 180°.
