PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply device that controls an output current to a control current value without causing a reduction in conversion efficiency and an increase in charging time by eliminating a drop in output voltage. SOLUTION: The switching power supply device for controlling an output current to a predetermined control current value includes: a driver D1 including a switching element supplied with an input current, and outputting the output current depending on on/off action of the switching element to an output terminal; a current sensor S1 for outputting a voltage depending on the input current; a control voltage generation section CVGEN for generating and outputting a control voltage for controlling the output current to the control current value; a differential amplifier AMP1 for outputting a difference between the output voltage of the current sensor S1 and the control voltage output by the control voltage generation section CVGEN; and a PWM controller P1 for generating a PWM signal having a duty depending on the output of the differential amplifier AMP1 to control the switching element on/off.
