PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure privacy by obstructing a person's view from the side of a common-use corridor in an apartment house. SOLUTION: A corner, which is formed of a corridor-side external wall 1 facing a common-use corridor B and an alcove-side external wall 2 facing an alcove C, is surrounded by a corridor-side internal wall 3 and an alcove-side internal wall 4 to form a columnar space 5. An opening 2a is formed on the alcove-side external wall 2, and an opening and closing window 4a is disposed on the alcove-side internal wall 4 facing the external wall 2. The opening and closing window 4a is disposed in a position to be recessed from the alcove C, without facing the side of the common-use corridor B.
