PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the operability of a door excellent when the door is operated to rotate upward and downward. SOLUTION: A back door device for a vehicle includes: a back door 6 pivotally supported by a rear wall 4 of a vehicle body 2 so that the door 6 can be rotated upward A and downward B, and a dumper stay 8 having one end coupled to the rear wall 4 and the other end coupled to the door 6. The door 6 includes resin-made inner and outer panels 11, 12 and a window panel 13 which are superimposed to each other and bonded. The window panel 13 closes a window opening 16 formed on the upper part of the combination body 15 of the inner and outer panels 11, 12 to penetrate through the thickness direction thereof. A connecting part 53 for connecting the outside part of the inner panel 11 and the outside part of the outer panel 12 in the vicinity of the lower end of the window opening 16 in a vertical direction is integrally formed on each of the outside parts of the inner and outer panels 11, 12.
