PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a reference date suitable to a displayed image without performing complicated operation. SOLUTION: By obtaining photographing date data of an image to be displayed and automatically selecting a plurality of pieces of registered reference date data on predetermined conditions, complicated operation of selecting each reference date suitable to an image file to be reproduced and displayed is reduced and the reference date data is automatically selected for each displayed image without user's operation and displayed suitably.
