418,119. Mixing-machines. BRIDGE & CO., Ltd., Castleton, near Manchester.- (Farrel-Birmingham Co., Inc. ; Ansonia, Connecticut, U.S.A.) May 15, 1934, No. 14608. [Class 86.] Machines for mixing plastic materials comprising an outer casing and end walls forming a single or double trough in which the kneading-blades work, such as described in Specifications 156,273, [Class 86], and 298,596, [Class 12 (i)], are provided with means for renewing the worn parts of the end walls ; the end walls of the charging neck are also removable. The end walls D, Fig. 3, are made with openings of larger diameter than the troughs a, and removable rings E, which may be in one or more parts, are carried by bolts e. The kneading-shafts are fitted with filler rings 2<b> which may be secured by bolts 3<b>, or force fitted. The rings E carry floating rings F for excluding dust. As shown in Fig. 1, the rings E are flattened at their meeting edges and connected by a strengthening member 3<e>, and the charging neck is fitted with a renewable plate J which may be furnished with a hinged window.
