The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for intra prediction. According to the present invention, the intra prediction method of a decoder comprises the steps of: entropy decoding a received bitstream; generating reference pixels to be used for intra prediction of a prediction unit; generating a prediction block from the reference pixels based on a prediction mode for the prediction unit; and reconstructing an image from a residual block and the prediction block obtained through the entropy decoding. At least one of the reference pixels and pixels of the prediction block is predicted based on a reference pixel, and the predicted pixel value may be a value obtained by adding variance of a pixel value from the reference pixel to the generated pixel to a pixel value of the reference pixel. |
