The objective of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a surface-mount inductor having an external electrode which has a bonding strength to a small body in a high moisture environment. A method of producing a surface-mount inductor forms a coil by winding a wire. The coil is covered by using a sealing material which mainly contains metal magnetic powders and a resin. A core part is formed in order for at least a part of both ends of the coil to be exposed to the outside of the surface. Also, the smoothness of at least a part where the external electrode of the core part is formed is lower than that of a surrounding surface. An external electrode which is electrically connected to the coil is formed in the core part. |
