A method for detecting a color object in an image (100) comprises the steps of: receiving, by an image processing apparatus, a source image (110); performing the RGB normalization of the source image (120); generating a first temporary image in which an object is detected by converting the normalized RGB image into a YCbCgCr image (130); generating a second temporary image in which an object is detected by converting the normalized RGB image into an HSV image (140); and finally detecting an object by combining the first and second temporary images (150).
