An electric or hybrid vehicle is immobilized whilst connected to a charging lead. The vehicle includes a coupling 24,25 for the charging lead which is reconfigurable to prevent connection of a connector unless charging of the vehicle is intended. The coupling may include a blocking member 27 to prevent unauthorised insertion of a connector for the purpose of rendering the vehicle immobile and preventing the vehicle driver from driving away in the event of a threat arising. |
