Provided are a terminal and method for editing a text using the same. The terminal may include a display part which includes a touch sensor which senses a touch input and displays a text, and a control part which responses to the first touch input when the first touch input generated in the text displayed through the touch sensor, separates the first touch input among the texts, and magnifies it on the display part.
