[Class 79 (iii)] An engine, mounted at the rear of a motorcar, is cooled by arranging the engine a and its radiator b in a passage, formed by partitions k<1>, k<2>, d<1>, d<2>, through which all the cooling air is caused to flow by a fan c. The air, which may enter by passages h', h<2> under the rear seats or from above or below, or by a tube from the front of the car, leaves by longitudinally-arranged slots o covered by plates and a horizontal slot m covered by the number plate. The slots o are arranged in the top or bottom walls near the corners of the passage and adjacent a longitudinal partition s. Tools are accommodated in spaces f<1>, f<2>.</p> |
