Disclosed are an apparatus for determining the generation location of a noise between floors and a method thereof. The apparatus includes a plurality of measuring units which are installed at each household of an apartment house and measure the vibration of the noise between the floors generated at each household. The measuring units measure the vibration using an internal clock synchronized with the phase of AC power supplied to its own household, determine the progressing direction of the vibration using the measurement information measured by the measuring units and each measurement information at a surrounding household located in a path to transmit the vibration based on its own household, and determines whether its own household is the generation location of the vibration based on the number of the paths and the progressing direction of the vibration.
