<p>The present invention relates to a composition for treating or preventing inflammatory diseases, the composition containing a hydrolysate obtained by treating one or more whey proteins selected from the group consisting ofα-lactalbumin (α-LA),β-lactoglobulin (β-LG) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) with alcalase. Since a hydrolysate having the molecular weight of 10 kDa or less which is selectively extracted from the hydrolysates of the whey protein particularly has excellent effect of suppressing inflammation, the hydrolysate can be useful as a therapeutic agent for various diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory collagen vascular disease, glomerulonephritis, inflammatory dermal disease, sarcoidosis, retinitis, gastritis, hepatitis, colitis, arthritis, tonsillitis, pharyngolaryngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, pancreatitis, sepsis, and nephritis.</p> |
