AUTOMATIC CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAIN AXLE ATTACHMENT OF MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE: An automatic control device and a method of a main-axle attachment of a machine tool are provided to automatically change tools at various exchange sites. CONSTITUTION: An automatic control device comprises an attachment sensor(210), an AAC(Auto Attachment Changer) unit(220), an ATC(Automatic Tool Changer) unit(230), a CNC(Computer Numerical Control) monitor unit(110), a CNC parameter(120), a macro programming unit(150), and a PMC(Programmable Motion Controller) ladder unit(140). The attachment sensor identifies the attachment and its location. The AAC unit automatically changes the main-axle attachment. The ATC unit automatically changes the tool. The CNC monitor unit inputs a command about a task by a tool and the kind of the main-axle attachment. The CNC parameter calls a program number corresponding to the input command. The macro programming unit drives the AAC unit or the ATC unit according to the program number. The PMC ladder extracts the location information of the main-axle attachment.
