摘要 The present invention relates to a method for producing cathode active material and cathode active material produced thereby, and more specifically to a method for producing cathode active material in which the surface of the Li-Ni oxide, comprising Co and/or Mn, is covered with olivine-type composite oxide and conductive carbon, and to a cathode active material produced by the method. The cathode active material produced by the method for producing same according to the present invention suppresses side reactions on the surface by having the surface of the Li-Ni oxide, comprising Co and/or Mn, coated with olivine-type composite oxide and conductive carbon, and thus cathode active material is provided exhibiting high energy concentration and capacity, and having enhanced safety and life-span characteristics.
