<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting the metal pieces, comprising: a first detecting unit which forms a magnetic field in a first magnetic field direction to detect metal pieces having a first property, among the metal pieces mixed with the raw material; and a second detecting unit which is installed to be separated from the first detecting unit and forms the magnetic field in a second magnetic field direction different from the first magnetic field direction, to detect the metal pieces having a second property different from the first property, among the metal pieces mixed with the raw material. According to the invention, various metal pieces which are capable of being mixed with the raw material can be detected, and the counter force for various metal pieces which are capable of being mixed with the raw material can be improved, thereby preventing damage of the transferring apparatus, resulting from the metal pieces mixed with the raw material.</p> |
