<p>The present invention relates to an airbag for pedestrian protection. The present invention includes a hood that is mounted on a front surface of a vehicle, a cover that is disposed on the hood and has at least one protruding portion and fastening hole formed in an upper surface and a lower surface, a housing that has an inflator and a cushion built thereinto and has a hook portion formed outside to be coupled with the fastening hole, and a bracket that is disposed on a rearward side from the fastening hole and fixes the housing. A mounting surface, a fastening hook, and a hole position are arranged in a row, and thus separation of the fastening hook from the fastening hole attributable to inflator pressure can be prevented during airbag deployment. In addition, a force transmitted during gas generation in the inflator and airbag deployment is dispersed in the bracket mounted on the hood so that housing impairment is prevented. Although the housing is mounted on a hood surface, this module requires only the bracket to be mounted on the hood, and thus no additional bracket-housing installation operation is necessary, which adds to efficiency.</p> |
