A hearing instrument includes: a radio for reception of a broadcasted message; an authenticator configured for authentication of a transmitter of the broadcasted message; and a reciever configured for converting the broadcasted message into an acoustic signal for transmission towards an eardrum of a user of the hearing instrument upon successful authentication of the transmitter of the broadcated message.
