<p>The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating diabetes or obesity which includes a pteridophyta extract selected from a group consisting of Dennstaedtiaceae, Dryopteridaceae, Osmundaceae, Polypodiaceae, Selaginellaceae, and Woodsiaceae as an active ingredient. The active ingredient of the present invention has excellent suppressing effects of alpha-glucosidase activities in order to prevent or treat diabetes or obesity. In addition, the active ingredient of the present invention includes the pteridophyta extract which is a natural material as the active ingredient so that side effects for human body are extremely less than chemically synthesized drugs, and the active ingredient can be safely applied to foods and pharmaceutical compositions.</p> |
