The present invention relates to an ultrasonic transducer which is included in such an ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus obtaining image information inside an object by using ultrasonic waves and a method for manufacturing the same. The ultrasonic transducer comprises a backing material, first electrodes, piezoelectric elements, a second electrode unit, and a matching layer. The first electrodes consist of conductive metal pieces respectively, and are arranged in a stripe pattern to be bonded to the upper surface of the backing material. The piezoelectric elements correspond to the first electrodes respectively and are bonded to each upper surface of the first electrodes. The second electrode unit is bonded to the upper surfaces of piezoelectric elements. The matching layer is bonded to the upper surface of the second electrode unit.
