LOCAL PAD FOR TRANSDERMAL POST-OPERATIVE CLOSED-WOUND ANALGESIA

Novelty: a new post-operative analgesia product produced in two modes both obtaining the suction of effusions from the sutured wound via a centrally-positioned absorbing gauze. The first type has at the peripheral self-adhesive zone longitudinal rectangular voids containing analgetic substances for application on the sound skin around the wound region ; the length of the voids is equivalent to the wound’s length and should be positioned at least 2cm away from the edge of the wound region. The second type has a peripheral patch with analgesic substance. The width of the zone bearing the drastic substance varies in respect to the dose desired to be transmitted to the sound skin around the wound. Advantages: simple and non-traumatic application, safety, long-acting analgesia, significant reduction of the use of systematic analgetics, comfortable movement of patients and low cost. Embodiment: the invention finds application to orthopaedic and plastic surgery domain and more precisely to one-day care surgery as well as to minor injuries not demanding hospital care.
