<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus to automatically restore a contact information. According to the present invention, a method to automatically restore the contact information comprises the steps of: building a member authentication DB based on a phone number and an e-mail account inputted from a user terminal connected through a network in the member registration; building a member DB based on the phone number of the user terminal; matching the phone number of the user terminal with a phone number of the other user terminal, which has stored the phone number of the user terminal as contact information to build an acquaintance matching DB; receiving a changed phone number on the network from the user terminal of which the phone number is changed, and performing a new member registration; additionally receiving, from the user terminal, the changed phone number and the e-mail account as the procedure of the member authentication, and authenticating that the member has been registered; and updating the phone number of the user terminal pre-stored in the member authentication DB, the member DB, and the acquaintance matching DB to the changed phone number, and synchronizing the changed phone number among the members. The method and apparatus to automatically restore contact information can automatically update and synchronize a changed contact information among the members only with a simple user′s authentication in various application programs which operate based on the contact information stored in a terminal, and enables the user to restore existing acquaintance contact information as it is and use the restored acquaintance contact information.</p> |
