In order to reduce the sense of discomfort that an occupant feels because of an engine starting sound at the time of engine starting by system request, an FF hybrid vehicle control apparatus is provided with: an engine (1); a starter motor (6); a motor/generator (3); and an integrated controller (24). The starter motor (6) starts the engine (1). The motor/generator (3) can transmit motor torque to the engine (1) and left and right front wheels (12, 12). The integrated controller (24) performs a starting motor selective control such that, when an EV mode using the motor/generator (3) as a drive source is selected, the engine is started by using the starter motor (6) in the presence of a drive power request, or the engine is started by using the motor/generator (3) in the presence of a system request (Fig. 2). |
