A dryer for an electrode substrate for a rechargeable battery according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a dry kiln which includes an inlet to input the electrode substrate and an outlet to output the electrode substrate; a driving unit which is installed near the outlet of the dry kiln and moves the electrode substrate to make the electrode substrate pass through the dry kiln; and a guide roll unit which includes a fixed guide roll which is installed in contact with one side of the electrode substrate inputted to the dry kiln, and a moving guide roll which is installed in contact with the other side which is opposite to one side of the electrode substrate inputted to the dry kiln, and guides the electrode substrate in the dry kiln. The moving guide roll moves from one side to the other side of the electrode substrate or from the other side to one side of the electrode substrate according to the driving speed of the driving unit.
