PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopping device for a moving machine of coke oven, capable of accurate stopping control using a magnetic sensor.SOLUTION: The stopping device for a moving machine of coke oven is used for stopping the moving machine of coke oven, which moves on a rail track, at a target stop position. The stopping device includes: a mechanical brake, a sensor unit 50 which is fitted to the moving machine of coke oven and, when entered into the magnetic region of a magnet 60 disposed at a position corresponding to the target stop position, outputs current having an intensity corresponding to the distance from the magnet 60, and a controller which determines the actuation current value for actuating the mechanical brake on the basis of the linear characteristics of the current value which changes linearly when the target stop position comes closer and outputs an actuation signal for actuating the mechanical brake when the outputted current from the sensor device reaches the actuation current value. |
