<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus and an electronic component mounting method capable of satisfying both of power saving of a tape feeder and accuracy of stop position of a carrier tape.SOLUTION: In a tape feeding processing by the tape feeder, a motor for driving a tape feeding mechanism stores following two operation modes to regulate the operation modes: i.e., a normal mode in which normal tape feeding operation and position holding operation are carried out according to an operation command from the electronic component mounting apparatus; and a power save mode to stop the power supply to the motor when the command signal for driving the motor exceeds a predetermined setting time. When the rotation position of a sprocket is detected that the deviation amount representing the positional deviation from prescribed position exceeds a prescribed allowable value during carrying out the power save mode, the operation mode returns to the normal mode.</p> |
