<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic brush-type developing device and an image forming apparatus that prevent peripheral devices from being stained by the scattering of toner from the developing device to provide high-quality images.SOLUTION: A developing device according to an embodiment includes a developing roller that holds developer and is arranged opposite to an image carrier, a housing that accommodates the developer and supports the developing roller, and first gap adjusting units that are inside the housing downstream of the opening end part of the housing in the direction of rotation of the developing roller and each protrude to the inner wall of the housing on the sides in the shaft direction of the developing roller.</p> |
