PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an existing structure, capable of efficiently removing the existing structure under a high safety in the case of removing the existing structure buried underground in a limited overhead space.SOLUTION: A method for removing an existing structure includes: a first step of attaching a tension member B to an existing structure (a pile P) buried in an underground G, installing a casing C around the pile P by a drilling machine M2, and supporting the tension member B by a frame T on a ground; a second step of pulling up the pile P to the ground so as to allow the pile P to pass through the inside of the drilling machine M2, drilling holes H2 at middle positions of the pile P to insert bearing members K, fixing the bearing members to secure a fixed attitude of the pile P, and cutting and removing a part of the pile P; a third step of attaching a tension member B' to a new top end surface of the pile P and supporting it by the frame T, pulling up the pile P to the ground and drilling other holes H2 at middle positions thereof by the drilling machine M2, inserting the bearing members K into the holes H2 and fixing them to secure a fixed attitude of the pile P, and cutting and removing a part of the pile P, with the third step being repeated. |
