PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which controls an optical system and improves precision of noise elimination.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes: statistics estimation means 130 for estimating statistics from probability distribution obtained by modeling a photographing object with the statistics as a parameter and probability distribution obtained by modeling a process in which a captured image can be obtained from the photographing object; filter parameter derivation means 131 for deriving a parameter of an optical filter, with which an expectation value of an error between a real image and an image after noise elimination becomes minimum, in response to the estimated statistics and noise level; optical system control means 132 for controlling a focus of an optical system 10 so that a parameter of the optical filter is approximated the most to the parameter derived by the filter parameter derivation means 131; and noise elimination means 133 for generating an image which makes posterior probability of the real image to be maximum to the captured image, as the image after noise elimination, in response to the estimated statistics and noise level. |
