PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a member to a fixed length by adjusting a cutting position of the member.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for conveying a belt member 10 cut by a belt cutter 12 by conveyance means and winding the belt member around a winding body. A front end of the belt member 10 mounted on the conveyance means is cut by the belt cutter 12 obliquely at a fixed angle to a lengthwise direction thereof. Then the belt member 10 is conveyed until a width detection area at the front end of the belt member 10 formed by cutting reaches the position of a width detection sensor 14, and the width of the width detection area is measured. The difference between the measured width and a predetermined reference value at the position is determined and a conveyance amount of the belt member 10 is adjusted based upon the difference so as to adjust a cutting position for the tail end of the belt member 10. |
