摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photon pair generating device capable of generating a photon pair having a sufficiently narrow bandwidth without requiring designing a special optical resonator.SOLUTION: The photon pair generating device includes a pumping light source for outputting a pumping light and the N (N is three or more odd numbers) of optical resonators arrayed in one line at an equal interval. The N number of optical resonators is a photon pair generating device which converts the pumping light input from one end by a parametric process and outputs a signal light and an idler light from the other end. Each of the N number of optical resonators has the same shape and a single resonance frequency ω. The optical resonator is designed such that a coupling strength between resonance electrical fields of the adjacent optical resonators is sufficiently high so as to satisfy a tight binding approximation condition as compared with the coupling strength between the resonance electrical fields of the two or more adjacent optical resonators. The pumping light source outputs a light of a light angular frequency of the resonance frequency ωof the optical resonator as the pumping light.
