<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for forming an image again after updating a firmware.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: image processing means for performing image processing; update means for updating a firmware relating to the image processing means; determination means for determining, when the firmware is updated by the update means, whether an image processing result changes due the update of the firmware; and control means which, if it is determined by the determination means that the image processing result changes, after the firmware is updated by the update means, specifies data before the image processing corresponding to data after the image processing by storage means, sends the specified data before the image processing to the image processing means, makes it perform the image processing, and stores data after the image processing, which is the result of performing the image processing, in the storage means.</p> |
