A ready-to-mount assembly suitable for producing an impervious wall structure comprises: an impervious metal plate (1) having a series of first parallel corrugations (5) and a series of second parallel corrugations (6) which are secant at intersections (3), an elongate reinforcing part (15) designed to be arranged in one of said corrugations (6, 5) so as to increase the resistance of the plate to pressure, and an anchoring part (30) comprising an attachment member designed to be attached to the outer surface of the plate at an intersection of the corrugation in which the reinforcing part is to be retained and a retaining member (44) designed to cooperate with a longitudinal end of the reinforcing part in order to retain the reinforcing part in the corrugation. A corresponding impervious wall structure is used in an impervious and thermally insulated tank, in particular in a methane tanker.
