PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain which facilitates the restriction of reverse bending to a set reverse bending amount, including the prevention of the occurrence of the reverse bending, while suppressing string vibration, and still reduces the friction loss with a reduction in the friction of one chain structural component against the other during restricting the reverse bending and improves the durability with a reduction in the wear.SOLUTION: A silent chain 100 includes a pair of restriction plates C for restricting the reverse bending of guide trains 101 and non-guide trains 102. The restriction plates C cannot be bent around first adjacent pins 140 in the forward bending direction and in the reverse bending direction with respect to guide plates 110 holding the first adjacent pins 140. On each restriction plate C, a second storage part 170 is provided which has a reverse bending side edge 173 as a reverse bending side stopper for allowing the movement of a second adjacent pin 150 in the forward bending direction and for preventing the movement of the second adjacent pin 150 in the reverse bending direction when abutting on the second adjacent pin 150. |
