CARRYING DEVICE FOR CARRYING FUEL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device for promptly and economically carrying a fuel element of a nuclear technical facility between an upper water tank and a lower water tank and preferably having the liquid level of the upper water tank (even during carrying) higher than the liquid level of the lower water tank.SOLUTION: A carrying device 6 for carrying a fuel element 5 between an upper water tank 3 inside a nuclear reactor building 1 and a lower water tank 4 in a fuel element storage part 2 comprises: a carrying pipe connecting the upper and lower water tanks 3 and 4 and inclined to the vertical; one or a plurality of carrying baskets allowing insertion of one or a plurality of fuel elements; and a cable winding-up part 14 and cable winch device 13 for lifting and lowering the carrying baskets in the carrying pipe. The carrying pipe can be blocked by a blockage element 17 in the upper end part thereof, and a traction cable 16 is guided to the cable winding-up part 14 through a cable inlet provided below the blockage element 17.
