<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sandwich conveyor configured to prevent a recording medium, such as an envelope, from being wrinkled without reducing fixation quality in a fixing unit.SOLUTION: A sandwich conveyor 100 which allows an envelope P to pass through from a short side of the envelope P with a flap part closed includes: a first rotating body 102A; a second rotating body 102B allowing an envelope P with an image formed on a surface to pass through and conveying the envelope P with the first rotating body 102A; pressing means which causes one of the first and second rotating bodies 102A, 102B to press against the other; a speed adjustment mechanism which adjusts speed of the first rotating body 102A or the second rotating body 102B when the envelope P passes through; and control means which controls the speed of the first rotating body 102A or the second rotating body 102B adjusted by the speed adjustment mechanism, on the basis of information on the envelope P conveyed.</p> |
