An agricultural harvester (10) includes a chassis (12), a threshing system (24) carried by the chassis (12), and a cleaning system (26) carried by the chassis (12) and positioned below the threshing system (24). The cleaning system (26) includes one or more sieves (48, 0), a clean grain auger (56) positioned below at least one sieve (48, 50), and a cover plate (70) positioned above the clean grain auger (56). The cover plate (70) has a front edge (72) and a rear edge (74) which each extend generally parallel to a lateral axis (O) of the clean grain auger (56). The front edge (72) and rear edge (74) are each open to allow clean grain to pass therebelow to the clean grain auger (56). |
