FIELD: radio engineering, communication.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to wireless communication. A base unit and a wireless communication device identify supposed areas of control channel search. As per one aspect, the base unit reflects the remote unit onto a set of elements of the supposed control channel. The latter makes the supposed search area of the remote unit control channel. The base unit selects the control channel that contains one or more elements from the set for the supposed control channel. Control information for the remote unit is transmitted using the selected control channel.
