PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an instrument which substantially facilitates access of a surgical tool into a body cavity across a body wall, e.g., in a sealed state by hands of a surgeon.SOLUTION: The method includes: preparing an oil; preparing a triblock copolymer; mixing the oil and the polymer to form slurry; heating the slurry and maintaining the slurry at a prescribed temperature until the slurry changes into a gel; degassing the slurry; and cooling the gel to room temperature.
